Bloomers Wellbeing exists because this work is personal.

The three of us behind Bloomers are dads. Before we were directors, before projects and policies, we were parents trying to do the right thing for our children in a world that doesn’t always make that easy. Like many families, we’ve seen first-hand how emotional struggles can quietly build in children. We’ve seen anxiety masked as anger, overwhelm mistaken for “bad behaviour”, and young people trying to cope with far more than they have the tools for. We’ve also experienced how hard it can be to find support early, before things reach breaking point.

Between us, we bring lived experience of mental health and wellbeing, not from textbooks, but from real life. From navigating our own emotional challenges. From supporting loved ones. From learning, sometimes the hard way, how important it is to be heard, understood and supported at the right time.

What struck us most wasn’t a lack of care or compassion in families or professionals, it was the gaps. Gaps between concern and support. Gaps between “something isn’t right” and “you qualify for help”. Gaps where children are left waiting, families are left worrying, and issues grow heavier the longer they’re left unaddressed.

Bloomers was created to sit in those gaps.

We exist to make sure children don’t have to reach crisis before someone listens. To offer support that feels human, accessible and grounded in understanding. To create spaces where children can explore their emotions safely, without judgement, labels or pressure to be “fixed”.

As dads, we believe emotional wellbeing should be treated with the same seriousness as physical health. We wouldn’t tell a child with a broken arm to wait years for help. We shouldn’t ask children struggling emotionally to do the same.

Bloomers is rooted in prevention, early intervention and connection. We believe that when children are supported early, with compassion and curiosity, outcomes change, not just for them, but for families, schools and communities.

This isn’t just what we do.

It’s why we do it.
